Use Saved Views on Clients, Contacts, Opportunities, Quotes, and Products

Save the filters, sort, columns, column widths, and page size you use on the main Scopable list pages, share a view with your team, and set your own default.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Clients, Contacts, Opportunities, Quotes, or Products page
  • Admin access to share a view with your team

Saved views keep a table setup on a main list page so you can get back to it in one click. They work on the Clients, Contacts, Opportunities, Quotes, and Products pages in the left navigation.

This guide covers those pages. For the tabs inside a client record and the Compliance & GRC tables, see Use Saved Views on Client Detail Tables.

What a saved view keeps

A saved view stores the table setup, not the records. It can keep:

  • Search text.
  • Filters supported by that page.
  • Sort order.
  • Visible columns and column order.
  • Column widths.
  • Page size.

On the Clients page, a view also keeps the tab you had open, such as Active, At risk, Sync issues, or Onboarding.

A saved view never changes who can see a record. If you share a view, each teammate still sees only the records their own access allows.

Find the saved-view controls

Each supported page has the same controls above the table:

  • A filter count next to a view selector. The selector shows Standard view until you pick a saved view.
  • A Create view button.
  • A View actions menu (the three dots).

A small dot next to the view name means you changed the table after applying the view and those changes are not saved yet.

Create a saved view

  1. Open the page, for example Opportunities.
  2. Set the search, filters, sort, columns, and page size you want. Drag column edges if you want different widths.
  3. Select Create view, or open the view selector and choose Save current view.
  4. Enter a View name that says what the list shows, such as Closing this month or Draft quotes by rep.
  5. Optional: check Set as my default to load this view each time you open the page.
  6. Optional: check Share with team to make the view visible to everyone on your Scopable account. This option needs admin access.
  7. Select Save.

Apply a view

Open the view selector and pick a view. Your own views are listed under My views. Views other people shared are listed under Shared views. A star marks a default view.

To go back to the page's normal setup, choose Standard view at the top of the selector.

Update, edit, duplicate, or delete a view

Open the View actions menu with a view applied:

  • Update View saves your current table changes into the view. It appears when you own the view and have unsaved changes.
  • Edit view settings changes the name, sharing, and default options.
  • Duplicate View makes your own private copy. Use it for a shared view you want to change.
  • Delete view removes the view after you confirm. Deleting a view does not delete any records.

Manage views in the same menu lists all your views and the shared views you can see, with Open, Edit, Duplicate, and Delete for your own views and Open and Duplicate for shared ones.

Shared views and permissions

Anyone who can use a supported page can create personal views. Sharing a view with the team, and editing or deleting a view that is already shared, needs admin access. Users without it can still apply shared views and duplicate them.

Only the person who created a view can change it. Other users can apply it or make a copy.

Default views

Default views are personal. Set as my default only changes what loads for you.

When you open a page, Scopable applies your own default view first. If you have not set one, it applies a shared view that is marked as a default. If neither exists, the page opens in Standard view.

On the Clients page, a link that already carries filters (for example a link a teammate sent you) opens with those filters, not your default view.

Views are separate per page

Each page keeps its own list of views. A Quotes view does not appear on Opportunities.

The top-level Quotes and Opportunities pages also keep separate views from the Quotes and Opportunities tabs inside a client. That way a client-specific setup does not change the tenant-wide list.

Troubleshooting

A shared view won't save

Sharing needs admin access. Uncheck Share with team and save it as a personal view, or ask an admin to create the shared version.

I can't update a shared view

You probably don't own it. Use Duplicate View, change your copy, then select Update View.

My default view didn't load

Check that the view still exists and is marked with a star. If you opened the Clients page from a link that already had filters, the link's filters win.

A teammate sees fewer rows with the same view

Saved views don't grant access. Your teammate's permissions decide which records appear.

The view selector says saved views couldn't load

Select the retry button next to the message.
