Build and Customize a Quote Designer Template

Quote Designer separates shared tenant branding from the layout of an individual template. Set the logo and colors first, then build the document around real quote data.

Open the template gallery

1. Sign in to Scopable as a tenant administrator.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select Quote Designer.

The gallery shows the tenant logo and quote colors above the saved templates. Brand changes flow into templates that use those brand tokens.

Set the logo and quote colors

Use the logo card to upload or remove the tenant logo. Use the color card to edit the primary, secondary, accent, and text colors, then select Save colors.

Review text contrast before using a color in client-facing output. A color that looks fine in a small swatch can be difficult to read in a heading, table, or PDF.

Create or duplicate a template

• Select New template to start from Scopable's standard layout. The first template becomes the tenant default.
• Open a template's actions menu and select Duplicate to make a non-default copy. This is the safer starting point for a major redesign.
• Select Edit or the template card to open the canvas.

Give the template a name that explains when your team should use it, such as Managed Services Proposal or Project Quote.

Design the cover and closing pages

Use the page list to select Cover page or Closing page. The switch beside either page enables or disables it.

The element palette contains the blocks available on that page. Add or select a block, then use the contextual toolbar or inspector to change its position, size, text styling, alignment, and color. Bound blocks pull live values such as quote, client, and company details. Static-text blocks always show the copy you enter.

Test bound blocks with long names and titles. A layout that works only with short sample values will eventually clip a real client's content.

Configure flowing quote content

Select Quote content to edit the body of the quote. Quote-content sections flow across pages rather than using fixed positions.

You can:

• Drag missing sections from the element palette onto the quote canvas.
• Reorder sections and add a page break.
• Hide or restore a section.
• Show or hide the repeating page header and footer.
• Change section headings, alignment, spacing, and color tokens.
• Choose line-item columns and turn zebra rows or a filled header row on or off.

The available sections include live quote information such as the summary, bill-to details, line items, scope, totals, payment terms, and notes. Edit source quote content in its owning quote workflow. Quote Designer controls its presentation.

Edit document settings

Select Document settings in the top bar to manage settings that apply to the document rather than one selected block or section. These settings include page behavior and shared quote copy.

The designer also exposes Next steps and Terms & disclaimer controls. Next-steps copy is shown in the client portal after signing. Terms are used on the quote and PDF. Save these controls with their own save buttons when they are changed.

Preview and save

1. Use Show sample while arranging the template.
2. Select Preview PDF to open a generated PDF in a new tab.
3. Check page breaks, long text, line-item columns, colors, logo sizing, and the optional cover and closing pages.
4. Select Save template.

An Unsaved template changes badge appears when the template layout or name differs from the saved version. Returning to the gallery with unsaved changes prompts you before leaving.

Set the tenant default

Return to the gallery, open the template's actions menu, and select Set as default. The default badge moves to that template.

Quotes without a quote-specific selection use this default. Before changing it, preview the template and render a representative quote. See Select a template for a quote for the complete selection order.

Delete a template carefully

Open the template actions menu and select Delete. Scopable asks for confirmation because deletion cannot be undone.

Before deleting, confirm that the template is not needed by active quotes and that another suitable tenant default exists. Duplicate first if you may need to recover the design later.
