Manage Contacts, Favorites, and Photos
Find and update CRM contacts, add contact photos, mark personal favorites, save table views, export contact data, and remove obsolete records.
Prerequisites
- Access to CRM contacts in Scopable
Scopable keeps CRM contacts in two places:
- CRM > Contacts shows contacts across your Scopable account.
- A client's Contacts tab shows contacts associated with that client.
Use the global list to work across clients. Use the client tab when you already know which client the person belongs to.
Find a contact
Use search, filters, sorting, pagination, and column controls to narrow the Contacts table. You can also use saved views to keep a table setup you use often.
Open a contact row to view its details. The information available depends on the contact record and connected systems.
Add or edit a contact
- Open the global Contacts page or the client's Contacts tab.
- Select Add contact to create a record, or open an existing contact.
- Enter or update the available identity, client, and communication details.
- Save the record.
Check the client before saving. A contact associated with the wrong client can appear in the wrong client workflow and can be selected on the wrong quote.
Add or replace a contact photo
Open the contact details and use the photo control to upload an image. Scopable accepts PNG, JPEG, and WebP files up to 5 MB.
Use a current headshot or another image your organization is allowed to store. Replacing the photo updates the contact record but does not change the person's image in a connected provider.
Mark a favorite
Use the favorite control on a contact to pin that person near the top of relevant contact lists. Favorites are personal. Marking a contact as a favorite does not change how the contact appears for other users.
Favorites remain in the normal Contacts experience. There is no separate favorites area in the sidebar.
Save a useful table setup
Contacts supports table controls such as search, filters, sorting, columns, and pagination. When saved views are available, save a frequently used setup and share it with your team if the same view would help them.
See Use saved views on client detail tables for view ownership and sharing behavior.
Export or delete contacts
Use Export to download contact data as CSV when you need an authorized offline review or transfer.
Delete a contact only after confirming that the record is obsolete and that the interface makes deletion available. Review the warning before continuing. Deleting a Scopable contact does not guarantee deletion from a connected provider.
Troubleshooting
I cannot see photo or favorite controls
Some advanced contact features may not be enabled for your account or role. Ask an administrator to confirm your access and the features available on your Scopable account.
A contact is missing from a client
Search the global Contacts page first. If the record exists, confirm that it is associated with the correct client. If it comes from a connected system, also confirm that the client mapping and latest sync are healthy.
My uploaded photo was rejected
Use a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image no larger than 5 MB. If the file still fails, export it again in one of those formats and retry.
A favorite is not pinned for my teammate
Favorites are personal. Your teammate can mark the same contact as a favorite on their own account.
A deleted contact returned
The record may still exist in a connected provider and may have been imported again. Confirm the system of record and correct the contact there before the next sync.
